For Those of You That Are Interested (NIN Remix Ep)
Over the last few years, I have made a few remixes I would like to share, specifically NIN remixes. Since their album, Year Zero came out, they had released the multitracks of every song on the album, and I decided it would be fun to create my own renditions of several of the songs.
Overall, I have a bunch of unfinished projects (happens a lot :/), but there are five ones that I have finished that I am very pleased with. I decided I should share this with anyone I could, since I know someone out there will appreciate this. My favorite ones are tracks 1,2 and 4. For track 1, I remixed most of the song, but included sounds heard in other parts of Year Zero. Track 2 is the only one of the five that sounds the most like the original. I basically followed the same structure as the original, but inserted lots of little pieces that really enhance the song. I extended it in the beginning, between the two verses and at the end as well. Track 3 is slower and more haunting. You can barely hear the strings in the original, and I really wanted to bring that out for the remix. Track 4 is all over the place, and wild as hell! It's probably the loudest of them all, or at least tied up with track 2. Track 5 is the last but not least. This one is more guitar and piano driven than the original, which was more distorted. Overall, I have to say that I'm pleased with the result of the mixes. I hope you are too!
